TECTUS ATEX RFID Cable Tie Tag | ATEX Zone 1/21

The TECTUS Cable Tie Tag is a compact 27 × 20 mm ATEX Zone 1/21-certified RFID transponder designed for fast, tool-free attachment to industrial assets via cable tie. Available in LF, HF, and UHF versions across four colours, it works on both metal and non-metal surfaces — covering pipework, valves, cable bundles, and instruments — with IP68 protection and an ultrasonic-welded polyamide housing for long-term reliability.

Description

The TECTUS Cable Tie Tag is a compact passive RFID transponder built for one of the most common needs in industrial asset tracking: fast, reversible, tool-free attachment to a wide variety of objects. A built-in cable tie hole lets technicians mount the tag in seconds — on cable runs, pipework, valves, instruments, or anything else a standard cable tie can wrap around — without drilling, gluing, or fastening. ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 21 certification makes it safe to deploy across hazardous areas where explosive gas or dust atmospheres may occur during normal operation.

Unlike most RFID tags, the Cable Tie Tag delivers reliable reads on both metal and non-metal surfaces, making it a single-SKU solution for mixed-asset environments — from steel piping to plastic enclosures to cable bundles. The ultrasonic-welded polyamide housing creates a permanent hermetic seal — IP68 rated, RoHS/REACH/CE compliant, and built to operate from -40°C to +60°C. Available across all three RFID bands (LF, HF including NFC, and UHF) and in four housing colours, the Cable Tie Tag pairs naturally with the TECTUS MultiPEN triple-frequency reader and integrates with any standard RFID infrastructure. Laser engraving is available on request for serial numbers, asset IDs, or branded tracking workflows.
