The Solexy SWA/SWS R** is a compact, explosion-proof cellular router and Wi-Fi access point built for installation directly inside hazardous areas — including the demanding ATEX/IECEx Zone 1 and Zone 21. Available in 4G LTE (up to 150 Mbps) or 5G RedCap (up to 223 Mbps), it turns a mobile network signal into reliable on-site Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity, in a rugged IP66/IP68 aluminum (SWA) or AISI 316 stainless steel (SWS) enclosure.

Description

The Solexy SWA/SWS R-Series is an industrial-grade, explosion-proof cellular router and Wi-Fi access point developed for installation directly inside ATEX and IECEx Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22 hazardous areas. Built into Solexy’s patented intrinsically safe and flameproof enclosure and powered by the OpenWrt-based RutOS operating system, the R-Series turns any 4G LTE or 5G RedCap signal into a reliable on-site Wi-Fi hotspot or Ethernet connection. It is purpose-built for refineries, petrochemical plants, offshore platforms, chemical facilities, and mining sites where standard industrial routers cannot be installed — and where temporary connectivity, IoT deployments, remote maintenance, and 4G/5G failover are mission-critical.

With enterprise-grade VPN support (OpenVPN, IPsec, GRE, L2TP, DMVPN, SSTP), DDoS protection, TLS 1.3, and integration with major IoT platforms (Azure IoT Hub, Cumulocity, ThingWorx, RMS), the R-Series fits cleanly into both IT and OT network architectures. The aluminum (SWA) and AISI 316 stainless steel (SWS) enclosures are IP66/IP68 weatherproof, withstanding harsh outdoor, offshore, and marine conditions while maintaining full compliance with ATEX, IECEx, and North American (UL/CSA, QPS) explosion protection standards.
